Frequently Asked Questions

What happens during the in-person evaluation?

The PT will come to your home with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning supplies. She may need access to your sink to wash her hands at times. She has all the necessary equipment and you do not need to provide anything or worry about the state of your home…it is a no judgement zone. If she will be using a massage table, she will need enough space to set that up. Wear comfortable clothes so the therapist can assess your posture, balance, strength, and pelvic floor muscle function, with your consent. During the examination and afterwards, the therapist will discuss her findings with you, inform you about what you can do, and let you know how she can help. The two of you will develop a treatment plan based on your goals and desired outcomes. After that, the therapist will clean and put away her equipment and will schedule a follow-up visit.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No, since we are a cash-based service, you do not need a doctor’s referral and we won’t need to wait for a third-party insurance company to dictate whether you get treatment or not and for how long. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, our therapist is knowledgeable in what she can treat and what needs to be referred to emergent care, a medical doctor, or another healthcare professional.

What is PT Everywhere?

PT Everywhere is the HIPAA compliant software we use to share medical information, schedule visits, do billing and provide you with a personalized exercise program. You will be able to access your home exercise program from any mobile device after downloading the PT Everywhere App and creating your login information.
